By Mist a Putt.
Sure signs of winter, cold snaps, falling leaves and grass losing its lushness, however the predictions of rain fortunately do not generally affect our area as much as we would always welcome it. On the upside, outdoor enthusiasts are managing to keep abreast of schedules and organised events which come as a blessing to the various clubs and organisations that put a lot of time and effort preparing each occasion.
So with this in mind we would like to join with many others in thanking the powers that be who are always there to ensure we all get the opportunity to stretch and exercise in whatever recreation one pursues in life and long may it continue.
Farmers Classic
Umdoni Park was chosen by the Natal farming community to stage their annual Farmers Classic three day golf tournament on 6th to 8th June. Though a cold front prediction only produced some very strong winds, the event went off successfully with a capacity field representing all parts of the Natal region, those taking part are not only farmers but equipment suppliers, machinery and grain manufacturers etc who are great supporters and provide much of the sponsorship for this prestigious occasion.
We at Umdoni extend our compliments to all concerned for the excellent organisation of this flagship event and recognise the value of farming to all communities in our region. And special thanks for choosing our Club.
