Being geared up to be fully functional since 2008, the Environmental Centre’s prime purpose is to provide environmental education at first hand via posters, displays and actual specimens usually accompanied by explanatory talks. To arrange these please contact the admin office via our contact form.
The information thus provided will make guided walks more interesting and meaningful as we seek out and view components of the faunal and floral biodiversity shown to be present in the Umdoni Park Forest and grassland.
Members of the public visiting the centre will usually take the form of school and tourist groups and others specialising in birds, butterflies etc.
We do not cater for groups without a wildlife agenda such as functions of a celebratory nature, braai parties etc.
There is an environmental officer on Site every Sunday morning from 07:30 to 11:30 who will be able to answer any questions you may have regarding the Flora and Fauna and advise you regarding the various trails available.
For additional information, you may also contact The Pennington Conservancy with whom we work hand in hand.
